How to Live Forever
How can I live forever?
That is one of the most ancient questions known to mankind.
Its
relevance becomes even more pronounced as we read the daily newspaper.
With events like 9/11, the Columbine shootings, the Oklahoma City bombing and other senseless acts that transport human beings from time into eternity within seconds, what happens after this life is a question that has singular importance.
The purpose of this site is to provide the answer to this question and more. You are here for a very special reason. It is your date with destiny.
What Is The Answer?
Now that the question has been asked, it must be answered. How can you live forever?
The answer is simple. You must be born again.
I'm sure that you have probably heard the phrase, "born again" over and over again, and perhaps not in the most favorable light.
But what does it really mean?
Nearly two thousand years ago, Jesus of Nazareth told a man Nicodemus: "Truly, I say to you, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
Nicodemus was puzzled. He responded: "How can a man be born again when he is old. Can he enter a second time into his mothers womb and be reborn"?
Jesus replied: "Truly, truly I say to you, unless a man be born of water and the spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God." (John 3:3-5)
Why Be Born Again?
Isn't being born once enough?
The answer to that question is no.
Why? It is because when all of us are born, we are spiritually flawed. That flaw is called the sin nature. It has been passed down from generation to generation from Adam, who rebelled against God.
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." (Romans 5:12)
Just as you were born physically, you must be reborn spiritually to live forever.
But I'm A Good Person
Not according to the Bible, the Word of God. It says:
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." (Romans 3:10)
That includes you and me.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
Sin is falling short of God's standard that is absolute perfection.
What Is the Solution?
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that , while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
"That
if you shall confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus, and shall believe
in
your heart God has raised him from the dead you shall be saved. For
with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)
Jesus paid the ultimate price by dying on Calvary's cross and bearing all of our sins. He died so that we don't have to. He rose again from the dead. If we believe in him, we can live forever.
Isn't There Another Way?
Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
Man has tried to create his own way and called it religion. He thinks that by doing this or doing that, he'll be good enough to earn God's favor and eternal life.
Nothing can be farther from the truth. There is nothing that you can do to earn God's favor. You must put your faith in Jesus Christ and in his finished work on Calvary's cross.
"Neither is their salvation in any other [name]: for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved". Acts 4:12
Not Moses. Not Muhammad. Not Krishna. Not Buddah. Not Zoraster.
Only Jesus can give you eternal life.
How Can I Live Forever?
If
you confess that Jesus is your Lord with your mouth and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead, the Bible says that you will
be saved (understanding that Jesus is now
your Lord and you now are His slave). Thank Him
for dying on the cross for your sins. Repent (turn away) from
your sins and commit to living your life in conformity to His
will. Submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Just praying a prayer won't do it. Walking down an aisle won't do it. Joining a church won't do it.
That confession and dedication--if you really mean it--will transform your life and give you assurance that you will live forever.

Understand
that being born again will require you to live according to God's will
and not your own by the power of the Holy Spirit:
"Let
not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in
the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your
members as
instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield
yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your
members as
instruments of righteousness unto God.
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye
are not under the law, but under grace.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under
grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to
whom ye yield yourselves slaves to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye
obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the slaves of sin,
but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was
delivered you. Being then made free from
sin, ye became the slaves of righteousness.
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh:
for as ye have yielded your members slaves to uncleanness and to
iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members slaves to
righteousness unto holiness. For when ye
were the slaves of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are
now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being
made free from sin, and become slaves to God, ye have your fruit unto
holiness, and the end everlasting life.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:12-23
"Then
said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save
his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake
shall find it.
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose
his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" Matthew 16:24-26
"If ye
love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15
